Photos from the Field

One of the biggest rewards of working in the field is living in the habitat of the animals you are studying. It puts into perspective why we and other biologists choose to pursue such a rugged scientific career. While our job may be full of steep mountain sides, tangled brush, and pouring rain, we are fueled to work in part by the moments outdoors that take our breath away.

We want to share with you some of our favorite snapshots captured from the field this fall season. This is what our “normal day at work” looks like. From when the leaves shed their hues of yellow and orange, to when the first snow softly blankets the earth, we find time to take a break from the fast pace of our day and admire the changes of the seasons.
